Giguere questionable for game vs. Dallas

Jiggy

J.S. Giguere is said to be questionable for the game on Wednesday 21, 2009 with a disclosed injury. Giguere has had his finger in a bandage for the past few games, but this is most likely not the case. According to the Orange County Register Giguere left the ice early at the Honda Center during practice. Giguere replaced Hiller in the game against the St. Louis Blues in the 5-0 loss at home. The game was blacked out television wise and was only hosted on radio. The Ducks also played a no heart game vs. the much improved Blues.

If Giguere decides he cannot play in the game against Dallas, which he would most likely of gotten the nod against Dallas. Hiller will start the game and Timo Pielmeier or Justin Pogge will be called up to be the back-up. If Hiller were to encounter an injury or not do well in the game versus the visiting Dallas the [now] undecided call-up goaltender will replace Hiller. The Condors are traveling to Victoria, Canada for their next series of games which is where Pogge or Pielmeier will be called from if Giguere decides he cannot play or the coaching staff makes the decision. Another Duck who is on his own decision to play in the game is James Wisniewski who suffered a minor shoulder injury in the game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
