J.P. Levasseur, Timo Pielmeier, and Justin Pogge

Levasseur, Pielmeier, and Pogge are the top three Ducks goaltenders with Pogge being the No 3 goalie behind Giguere and Hiller. If and when Giguere or Hiller goes down on injury Pogge will be called up to replace either of the goaltenders. A player (in any sport) is bound to "go down" from an injury, if that wasn't known to you.

The top three goalies currently sit on the roster for the Ducks' East Coast Hockey League affiliate the Bakersfield Condors. Originally all 3 goaltenders were sent to San Antonio who is Phoenix's main farm affiliate. Leavesseur was the first to be sent down out of the three goalies and Marco Consineau the first out of the four invited goaltenders [to training camp]. Consineau is also the youngest out of the four. Marco Consineau was sent down to Drummond of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)

The San Antonio Rampage already had two goaltenders on their roster which made no room for either goalie as the Ducks sent the trio separately to "Good 'Ol Texas"

Justin Pogge was the last to be sent down to minor hockey, as he was already aware he wasn't going to play regularly in the NHL. With two great goalies in Giguere and Hiller there was no chance this year. As rumored latest by the end of the NHL season. Giguere or Hiller will be gone if rumor is true Pogge may take over the back up goaltender spot.
